Behind TAKA is a collective of artists, craftspeople, and engineers dedicated to the craft of original world-building through artifacts. A blend of art, design, engineering, and storytelling, this multi-disciplinary approach aims to produce visual art with a strong sense of history and narrative, creating memorable stories and character-driven experiences.

TAKA recently gathered to create the original universe of Prospect, a science fiction film rendered in densely-detailed production design. Every object was an opportunity to say something about the world and support the story. All the artifacts of the film collectively became a character of its own, enlightening the viewer to a sprawling fantastical universe. TAKA designed and produced all the props, costumes, sets, and miniatures seen in the film.
